Welcome To Our Practice
Dr. Amy McMullen, MD joined the practice in 2010. Dr. McMullen performed her hematology/oncology training at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
After her undergraduate work at Stanford majoring in both Music and Biology, Amy attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. She moved to Boston for her Internal Medicine residency at Harvard Medical School's program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Amy then returned to Stanford University to complete her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology.
Amy is devoted to providing personalized compassionate care to all her patients. Amy and her husband Rob have two children and enjoy being part of the Santa Cruz community.
Dr. Giselle Salmasi, MD joined the practice in 2014. Dr. Salmasi performed her hematology/oncology training at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
Her undergraduate experience was at the University of Toronto, where she was one of eight University of Toronto National Scholarship Winners selected nationwide. She is a 2007 graduate of McMaster University School of Medicine in Ontario, where she was the recipient of the McMaster University Medicine Achievement Award. She subsequently completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Toronto.
Giselle continues to establish close ties to the medical community for their patients' cancer and hematology care, with particular focus on blood disorders, leukemia and lymphoma, and cancer survivorship.
Dr. Michael Yen, MD, PhD joined the practice in 2008. Dr. Yen performed his oncology training at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology at Stanford, he completed his MD and PhD program at University of California at San Diego as part of the Medical Scientist Training Program of the National Institutes of Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Michael then returned to Stanford University to complete his fellowship in Medical Oncology and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Developmental Biology.
Michael is committed to providing outstanding oncological care here in Santa Cruz. He and his wife, Jennifer, have three young children.
All of our doctors are Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Board Certification assures our patients that our doctors have reached the highest standard within their specialty.
Giving Back to the Community
CCOH is proud of its doctors’ commitment to the community. The doctors and members of the staff participate yearly in the Relay for Life events (American Cancer Society), a celebration of survivorship. The practice has supported Hospice, Jacobs Heart, WomenCare, Lymphoma and Leukemia Society, AIDS education and the Katz Cancer Resource Center at Dominican Hospital. Other special interests include: The Santa Cruz Cancer Benefit Group, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley Educational Foundation, Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, Friends of Santa Cruz Public Library, The American Red Cross, Humane Society and the Wharf to Wharf medical team.
